If a candidate does not pass PCCE/PACE exam, there is a six (6) month waiting  period, from the date PCCE/PACE is taken, before the paralegal becomes eligible to re-take the exam. It is now possible to waive this waiting period at your own risk using this form. To retake the exam, candidates must submit a completed  application,  exam fee, and the $25 application fee - this form does not substitute for the application itself.

The soonest this form may be submitted is four (4) weeks from the date of the most recent exam attempt. Waivers submitted sooner than four weeks from the date of the most recent exam attempt will be declined.

Please note that effective from the October 2018 NFPA Policy Meeting, candidates are limited to three (3) exam attempts in two years (one original attempt and two retakes).

Please contact the Vice President & Director of Paralegal Certifications at vpdpc@paralegals.org with any questions regarding the retake policies.
