Application for Inactive Status of NFPA-issued Credential(s)

NFPA authorizes the Certification  Manager or NFPA Certification Director, to grant “Inactive” status for any PACE Registered Paralegal® or CORE Registered Paralegal™ in good standing for a period of up to four years upon submission of an Inactive Application showing good cause. RP®s and CRP™s on inactive status are required to obtain one-half of the regular CLE requirements every two (2) years of inactive status, with at least two (2) hours being in legal ethics or Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) topics, to remain eligible for reactivation. No RP® or CRP™ who has been granted Inactive Status shall use the RP® or CRP™ credentials during the period of inactivity. Please refer to Section 8.7 of the NFPA Certification Procedures for full details on Inactive Status.

This form is NOT for the renewal or reactivation of the RP/CRP Credential. That is a separate application process. Please contact the  Certifications Manager at certifications@paralegals.org with any questions regarding Inactive Status.

We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
